I  spent seven years of my life stuck in a job I hated. Seven years of listening to that tiny voice in my head telling me I should be out there doing the stuff I was passionate about. It took seven years for me to realise I was blind to the truth.

To quote from Morpheus, "The Matrix is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth."
We live in a world that fights for our most precious resource - time and attention. Social media, emails, and our phone notifications are the biggest culprits.

No matter what you choose to do with your time, there’s an opportunity cost associated with it. If you choose to do one thing, you are choosing NOT to do another. Choosing to scroll Instagram means choosing NOT to spend that on something more productive.

When you repeat the same patterns over and over again and continue to do so without being aware of them, then you become trapped in a stuck loop. It's not a good place to hang out.

The key to breaking out of anything is to be aware that you are trapped. You can break out and you can do it today.

Remember this – it doesn’t make you entitled to want more out of your life. It just means you want more. You don’t have to “get on with it” and do something you hate until you die – but it does mean you’re going to have to put the work in and make the hard decisions about what’s important to you.

Nothing in life is a guarantee except for death and taxes. So why do we spend most of our time feeling unhappy and unfulfilled. You can either get busy living or get busy dying.
